A workshop for elementary classroom teachers, special education teachers, physical education teachers, adaptive physical education teachers, occupational therapists and paraprofessionals.
The S.M.A.R.T. curriculum stimulates high levels of pre-academic development among all children, from those at risk for failing due to receiving too little early stimulation through those fully prepared for academic learning. Topics include: (a) the physiology of the brain; (b) the impact of stimuli on brain development; (c) how to assess a child's development; and (d) methods for teaching reading and printing that are grounded in the physiology of brain development. All S.M.A.R.T. workshops are 26 contact hours.

Principals are welcome to attend the S.M.A.R.T. workshop at no cost but registration is required. In the fall of 2004, we will have a Principal's One-Day specifically designed for principals.
