Students LOVE this kind of review!

Need more time for review? How about doing what Mahube Head Start teacher, Deb Gilbertson, does. Deb uses her Basic Vision and Black Light time for review. And boy does she pack it in...with a mere 10 minutes, or less, she is able to review much of her curriculum. Do you want to know the BEST part? The students LOVE it and attend to the entire review! Take a look, and keep in mind all that of this was done in one sitting.

Basic Vision

  • ABC's, all sang
  • Numbers 1-10, all counted
  • Emotions, make a ______ face when the light comes on
  • Rhyming words on large cards, Deb presented as inputs
  • Opposites, Deb says ______ and all (including Deb) speak the opposite

Black Light

  • Number Ladder, all (including Deb) said numbers
  • Student Name Cards and letters A and B, 2-3 student names were presented and then A and B...2-3 more names, A and B, 2-3 more names, A and B, etc...all done as inputs
  • Eye Movements with a glowing flashlight
