We Are A Fourth Year Site, NOW WHAT?
You have the equipment, the experience, the knowledge, positive feedback, increased reading scores. You have completed three years of implementing the S.M.A.R.T. Program. Should you continue?
Maintaining the program is a much simpler task than it was to begin it three years ago.
You CAN continue the program!
You can still choose two people to be S.M.A.R.T. team leaders.
You can use an Agreement of Expectations form to help your team maintain a framework for your S.M.A.R.T. program.
You can continue to have a S.M.A.R.T. staff of trained team members. If other staff members at your site want to attend a workshop, they may still do so at the discounted fees of a Designated Learning Site.
You are no longer obligated to collect and submit any data and/or correspondence or to do pre and post testing, (although there are several sites that continue to do testing for their own information.)
Your program is solid and your equipment is bought and paid for...the MLRC encourages you to continue implementing the S.M.A.R.T. program!
Mentoring will no longer be provided on site but you are ALWAYS welcomed and encouraged to continue to ask for help and email your mentor or the MLRC with any questions. We are always there to offer help, encouragement and support for our S.M.A.R.T. Schools.
Remember, once a S.M.A.R.T. teacher always a S.M.A.R.T. teacher!
