Generous Support for S.M.A.R.T. Mentoring

The MLRC is very proud to announce bridge funding from three Minnesota foundations to support mentoring in more than 40 of our state’s public schools - General Mills, the Northland Foundation, and the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.

The three foundations stepped forward to provide bridge funding to cover the expenses associated with mentoring and allow us to return to the legislature and seek re-instatement of those funds.  

A very big thank you to S.M.A.R.T. administrators and teachers who wrote letters, attended meetings or hosted S.M.A.R.T. observations at your school for foundation officers to learn more about S.M.A.R.T. and what it’s meant to your schools, staff and children.

And, an especially big thank you to the three foundations for providing this critical bridge funding!
