S.M.A.R.T. WORDS OF WISDOM

Here are some pointers from our MLRC mentors and presenters. They all have a great deal of experience and are always happy to share tips! We’ll continue to provide pointers from our team throughout the year as they have outstanding ideas and learn constantly from all of you as they present at workshops and mentor your schools.

When we asked them “What is one very important reminder you’d like to share with S.M.A.R.T. teachers?” they said…

“Teach S.M.A.R.T.er, not harder. And HAVE FUN!” Leslie Giese

“S.M.A.R.T. is not ‘another curriculum’ It is teaching differently.” Marion Bauman

“To reach 80 hours . . . . . maintain a daily schedule with 25 – 30 minutes of CORE activities. This can be implemented in one session or in multiple segments throughout the day.” Ann Borich

“Don’t get overwhelmed and use a TEAM approach (Together Each Achieves More).”  Julie Neumann
