MLRC Training & Program Implementation for Designated Learning Sites
For individual teachers as well as teams representing DLS's, a number of training seminars are offered throughout the year by the MLRC: S.M.A.R.T./Boost Up, HSAS, Neurotechnology, FRAP and Dyslexia Training programs. While all workshops are offered at the MLRC in Minneapolis, additional workshops are offered at sites in various locations across Minnesota and the country. Go to our website’s Workshops and Special Events section for a list of current workshop offerings.
Workshop Schedule
As a Designated Learning Site, a school has a special relationship with the MLRC and qualifies for on-site mentoring. This follow up mentoring involves experienced professionals in S.M.A.R.T., Hemisphere Specific Auditory Stimulation and NeuroTechnology spending time observing the school's program implementation, meeting with the team of trained staff and administrators over the course of the school year, providing in-service information, helping to gather data, etc. Any school that is interested in becoming a DLS should contact the MLRC at 612-706-5549 to obtain information about the special services involved.
